Initiative Coordinator (IC): WEFTA Volunteer Position

POSITION: Initiative Coordinator (IC): Remote and Location based Volunteer Position

PURPOSE: The purpose of a WEFTA Initiative Coordinator (IC) is to coordinate and manage WEFTA's initiatives including WASH in HCFs, and Circuit Riding.
LOCATION: Remote, and the countries WEFTA serves.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The IC is responsible for the development and implementation of WEFTA's initiatives in the countries served. The IC will oversee initiative fundraising, budgets, reporting, and strategic partners.

QUALIFICATIONS
The IC should have knowledge and experience working in the initiative are and willingness to lead WEFTA

REPORTS TO: ED/BoD volunteer committee
LENGTH OF APPOINTMENT: TBD between WEFTA and Volunteer
TIME COMMITMENT: 5-10 hours a month

SUPPORT PROVIDED: WEFTA's ED and AD support the IC.
REPORTING AND DELIVERABLES: Quarterly project updates including narrative summaries, budgets, photos.
BENEFITS TO THE VOLUNTEER: IC experience on developing world water/ww projects, CV/resume improvements, ladder position for BoD.

WEFTA has multiple volunteer opportunities that are best organized into 3 categories:

1. 1. 1. One-time technical assistance on a particular project
      2. Annual dedication to one project or initiative
      3. Country/initiative coordination

At times our volunteers travel internationally to project sites to evaluate and coordinate project work with local stakeholders, in-country project coordinators, and strategic partners.
