Boy With a Ball is an international youth and community development organization. Our name came from a little boy's discovery that the ball he was clinging to as a security object could be used for so much more. We help people use the lives in their hands to love and transform cities. We launch youth as change-makers who bring together individuals, businesses and churches across their cities to provide the solutions youth in hurting neighborhoods need to graduate from school and to reach their dreams. Our team of volunteers focuses on three key programs: Love Your City Community Outreach, Velocity, and Pipeline. Love Your City Walkthroughs bring together volunteers from all backgrounds to go into hurting neighborhoods and learn about families stories and needs to them co-create with them small groups that lead to growth. Love Your City volunteers can serve in neighborhood Walkthroughs, tutoring, and other small groups! Velocity is our after-school mentoring program where high school students mentor middle school students. Volunteers support these young leaders as they are impacting their school and community. Pipeline is a career development program that connects high-impact young people to transformational companies or areas of study. Pipeline volunteers serve as career-focused mentors to high school and middle school students.
